What herbal practitioners say about Siberian ginseng
root
Siberian ginseng (or
Eleuthero) is not actually part of the Ginseng family. It has been thoroughly researched in Russia into its effectiveness in improving stamina and
endurance in factory workers and athletes.
It has been found to increase energy and vitality, and enable the body
to better withstand stress whether physical or mental. It is very useful in the treatment of low
energy levels, weakness, chronic fatigue and exhaustion. It increases bone marrow activity and hence
white blood cell production, increasing immunity and making it useful during
chemotherapy. Siberian ginseng combines
well with licorice in the treatment of adrenal exhaustion.
